This is one of the most important advice I would like to give, if you are planning to go to Dubai you should know that Ramadan period is highly respected to the extend that even eating in public is prohibited whether or not you are a Muslim. Working hours during Ramadan is also reduced to 6 hours in a day for both Muslims and non-Muslims.

One of the good news is that, in Dubai, tax is free and no one is required to pay any type of taxes – be it personal or income tax.

5# Shipping or Postal Mail

In Dubai, delivering of mails does not come straight to your home address; rather you are required to open a P.O box from the postal agency so that all your mails would be delivered at their office.

6# The Media

Some of the things you need to know about media in Dubai is that, there are strict rules governing the use of any form of media especially the social media. Even some websites that are suspected to portray offensive materials are getting banned by the Dubai authority. one important thing you should know is that, you are not allow to talk about politics, sex or any issue concerning royal family on air in Dubai.

It is advisable for you to get an international health insurance before going to Dubai, because health facilities and services in Dubai are quiet expensive. They don’t provide foreigners free services on health and their hospitals are to a world class standard.

8# Politics and administration

There are no political parties in Dubai; this is because each emirate is governed by a monarch and the president. The choice of prime minister in that country is done by chosen from the monarch of the seven emirates.

Dubai does not really have mineral resources like the oil. It solely depends on trade as their main source of economic activity and income.
