Dubai AI Campus sets its next targets: what founders can prepare now

Dubai AI Campus has set a larger ambition for 2030. For a founder considering the ecosystem, the useful question is which part of that ambition connects with a real business need today.

What was announced

On 26 October 2026, DIFC announced new Dubai AI Campus targets: more than 1,000 AI companies and over 5,000 jobs by 2030. It also outlined a planned purpose-built facility in the DIFC Zabeel District. These are forward targets and a future facility, distinct from the campus activities already operating.

Start with the problem you need help solving

A company seeking its first customer needs a different conversation from a team testing deployment infrastructure. Before approaching a campus programme, describe the product, the customer it serves and the obstacle holding it back. That makes it easier to ask about relevant introductions, technical support or training without assuming that every service is included.

Ask which support exists now, who qualifies for it and what the participation commitment would be. A planned building can be a useful signal of direction, but it should not be substituted for a currently available service when preparing a budget or launch timetable.

Make an introduction easy to answer

Prepare a short demonstration and one specific request. A founder might need feedback from a particular customer role, rather than a broad request to meet investors. Record the answer and the next step. The campus targets provide context; the practical value of a conversation depends on whether it moves a defined piece of work forward.
